Arman Tsarukyan submitted Indian fitness influencer Ankit Baiyanpuria via armbar in a dominant performance at Hype FC in Yerevan, Armenia on August 1. The UFC lightweight contender needed less than three minutes to finish the submission-only grappling match in front of a packed home crowd.

Arman Tsarukyan is back in the win column, and he made it look easy. The UFC lightweight contender faced Indian fitness influencer Ankit Baiyanpuria in a submission-only grappling match at Hype FC inside Tashir Arena in Yerevan on August 1 and walked out with a quick armbar finish. The bout lasted under three minutes and showcased the gap between elite combat experience and pure size and strength.

Baiyanpuria came in with a massive social media following and the physique of a dedicated bodybuilder, but he had no real combat sports background. Tsarukyan, fighting in front of thousands of Armenian fans who gave him a hero’s welcome, took a moment to deal with the size difference before exploding into a suplex. Once the bigger man hit the mat, the outcome was never in doubt. Tsarukyan locked in an armbar and forced the tap before the hold was even fully sunk in.

This was pure grappling with no striking allowed, and the home crowd got exactly what they came to see. Tsarukyan controlled the pace, used his wrestling and submission skills, and ended the night early.
